Question My Gaussman hands are off the mark!

    Hello ALL,

After a long interval, I fished out the Gaussman from its box and during the weekend noticed that the hour hand does not zero-in perfectly on the hour markers; it always seem a bit late. The analog time-setting procedure does not help and I wonder if there is a hands-resetting procedure or function like on a quartz chrono.

Any help from the brethren will be greatly appreciated!
    Cheers,

    Hi Marcello,

If HS setting does not do the job, it does mean the minute hand is less than 20 seconds off? I remember you have to set the analogue time once when a new battery is installed to make it sync to the digital time...

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Oh, I just read your reply on 50 Gs... I now get your problem. I'm sorry, I do not have an answer to that...

Don't sweat it Sjors, you have been most courteous already. 'Appreciate it!

What I am looking for is -ideally- a DYI alternative instead of shipping my baby off to a watchmaker, see? I am pretty sure that resetting the hands is not that hard but still, I confess to being very jealous and particular of whom I let handle my watches.

If any of the brethren can contribute, it will be most helpful indeed!
