    My GW4000

    HI Guys, Just a newbie here. I just wanted to show you my newly acquired and first G

    Welcome and great pics of a great watch. I have the orange gw4000 and would love to add that green one to my collection. I had a really hard time deciding between those two when I purchased mine and will probably add the green one at some point.

    I think in asia, it's known as the G-1400, but US is known as a GW-4000. Correct me if i'm wrong....

    If I remember correctly the 1400 doesn't have atomic sync, the newer version has it and becomes GW-4000 (W usually means atomic).

    The 1400 is simply the non-atomic version of the gw-4000. Gw does mean atomic most of the time (gw-2xx frogs are an exception to the rule). I don't think the gw-4000 is any newer than the 1400. In fact, it may be a few months older. The non atomic export versions usually come out a little after the atomic.
