My GWG 1000DC 1A5 has to go...

Have had a minuscule issue which needed remedy. Was on the phone with Tech support in Dover NJ Casio and the fix didn't work. He said you have a problem with your crown control. The issue is/was my minute hand was 10 seconds behind where the second hand is. I mean that you've noticed how the minute hand advances every 10 secs. Mine was 1/6 of a cycle behind. It irked me that the minute hand was off. There is a fix for us to do at home, and this is where the problem lies. If you have this issue where your minute hand is ahead or behind the appropriate hashmark, you can adjust when all three hands are at 12 o'clock in the HAND ADJ mode. In my case the minute hand was a smidgen behind being vertical. In the HAND ADJ mode one would dial the crown slowly one click at a time to move the minute hand forward. Also works to move it back by dialing crown counter clockwise. In my case the crown did not move the hand at all.

Called Amazon and they sent me labels for return for full refund. I already ordered a new one thru Prime and will be here Wednesday. If I wasn't such a stickler for detail I never would have known... until probably other controller issues of the crown failed.

Just wanted to share the 'home remedy' which isn't in the manual.

Did you try this procedure, by WUS member ZJAZZ? It can be used to adjust the hour and minute hands.

I'm pretty sure the procedure Casio gave you to correct the minute hand position on your Mudmaster is incorrect. I just tried it on my PRW-S6000, which has a very similar module, and it does nothing. I suspect it will be the same on your replacement Mudmaster. Maybe someone on f17 with a Mudmaster can try Casio's procedure to see if it works.

Hopefully you haven't shipped the watch yet, so you can fix the minute hand position with the ZJAZZ procedure above. If the only issue with the hand alignment on your Mudmaster is the minute hand being slow by one click (and easily correctable), there is a chance that the replacement will be worse.

Yes, Gary just tried the method you posted and all is well. Casio's instruction we're off. Now I'll deal with the whole return issue.
Thanks a million Gary. You were right on the money.

Yeah, I'm on the spectrum of OCD as well. Luckily my career benefits from it. My personal life? It can go either way, depending. Thanks for the good info in case I ever go to the darkside (analog G-Shocks).

A man wearing a watch, outside of purely social functions (where, strictly speaking, a watch is not supposed to be worn), makes it clear to everyone in his purview that they are in the presence of a man who considers his time something of value, not something to be wasted.

A man wearing an ostentatiously expensive watch makes it clear to everyone in his purview that they are in the presence of a man who considers little.
