    My hybrid bastard DW-6900

    Story goes like this:

I've never really liked DW-6600, but given that DW-6900 is my favourite model, I thought I should give it a try. So I bough a purple used one very very cheap. I liked the color, but hated the display. Tried to like it, but no. So I Keept it in the drawer for a long time. Then one day I took it to the beach and I realized too late that the previous owner had not closed it properly. Water enters. RIP. Sad story.

Months later a friend of mine gives me a fake BAPE.

The thing doesn't feel like a Casio at all. Very soft buttons. Cheap plastic instead of resin. I smile and all, but I know I'm not going to wear it.

Then again, I think, "what if...?"

    And here's the result.

Now it feels like a Casio and looks almost like a DW-6900. Also, the module has exactly the same functions of a DW-6900. I've closed it properly, so now it's waterproof.

Guess what? These days I'm wearing it A LOT.

    And that's it. :)

Ah ok, so you put the fake BAPE module in the 6900?

Cool, haha I like it although it goes against the whole ethic I still like it, haha!

Yep. The Fake Bape module and its lid (the one with 3 holes for the spheres) fits perfectly into a real DW-6600. You just open the case and do the swap. Hey, if someone out there has an authentic spare module and lid to give me that would be great, but really, righ now looks and feels pretty pretty good. :)
