    Hi Crimbo,

    Nice collection . I bet the Metal Twisted Yellow dial is the crown on your collection

    I was talking to a mountain biking female officer last night (around 2;00 a.m.) by thew way. I noticed those hydrolic Magura brakes on it and a 14 speed Rohloff Speedhub on her hard tail. It looks like our city patrol bikes are good quality ones.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

    Hi Sjors, did she have the hydraulic rim or disc brakes?

    those hydraulic magura rim brakes cost an absolute fortune! I remember when I had to change the disc brake that came with my bike the guy recommended some magura hydraulic rims brakes as they were lighter than discs but they cost £130!

    So I went for an Avid disc brake for £70 and it's still great!

    Hi Pritch,

    It were the hydrolic rim brakes! Unfortunately I had a beer in my hand, not a camera.

    Hi Sjors;

    I met this guy last year at the York Cycle Show, Tommy Hamelink from Politie Haaglanden in Holland. The bike he has is a special folding one for travelling with, but he uses a normal rigid cycle for work in the Netherlands.

    Oh... and some form of suspension is a must when doing stuff like this!

    I'm no longer a cycle cop any more though , back to normal policing for now.
