My new MIRB Muddy arrived on Saturday!! I had the US Postal Service e-mail me once delivered and I received the e-mail while out doing touristy stuff in Washington DC with my girlfriend and some friends. By the end of the evening, my girlfriend was ready to send me home on a rocket just so I would shut up!
Thanks SAM-I-AM for giving me Shopemco's info. Had I not, I don't know when I would've found my new love!
Without further ado... the unboxing...
The tin. This is actually the first time I get a tin with my watch. Not even my PAW1500 (purchased at JCPenney's) came with a tin or a special box. Most of my watches have been purchased from Amazon and we all know how they ship their watches.
The manual was within the tin, on the bottom.
A lume shot. I'll try and take a better one later.
I am absolutely in love with this mudman. I'm glad it arrived!!
The buttons are hard to press, as apparently all mudmans are. I have no intentions of boiling it though!
The red negative LCD looks great! I am a big fan of the negative displays however I like the negative display of my G7710-1 better though. The contrast is much higher on that one that on my muddy. However, I haven't had the time to wear this one during a full day of sunlight, so more info to come on this later. Also, you can modify the contrast of the G7710-1 (something I feel ALL negative display watches should have).
I think this watch ranks a 9.5/10 on my book. The only thing I wish they would add is the ability to change the contrast on the watch. One more thing I'd LOVE to see on THIS muddy is Atomic and Solar. I know there's already a Mudman out like that, but the face is not the same and I like the traditional mudman look better though.
All in all, it's an excellent timepiece. Confortable and everything I expected/wanted from it.
