Well last weekend I was at a local flea market and there among a lot of fake watches, and old swatches most of them in pieces, I spoted it, it was a dw-6600 from who knows when, probably 1995 or something, it looked like crap, the bezel was almost entierly broken off and it had only one part of the band, and it didn't work ( beeig a vintage g-shock and these things are tough as nails I assumed that the battery was dead and it would be ok with a new battery.....lucky for me I was right this time ). So I boght it, I payd 6$ for it and took it home, gave it a very good scrub after I removed what remained from that bezel, and got it all nice and clean, after that I opened the watch, all seemd in order but just to be sure no moisture was in the module and in the case I left them for about 6 hours in a seald box with rice to absorb any moisture if any at all. The gasket has seen better days but is ok for now, I will replace it at the next battery change just to be sure, so after that I put it all back togheter and popped in a fresh CR-2016 resetted the watch from the AC thing and the battery and it worked like champ. I have ordered a new bezel of ebay and it will be here in about 2 weeks, I will post photos when it arrives.
Now the custom light job, yesterday I was looking at some old threads and came across a thread that involved a 6900 and a custom light with the Enterprise on it, so I said how hard can it be to modd the light at my 6600 since it seemd very easy at the 6900. I looked on the internet for some nice logos and here is what I ended up with and please tell me what was your favourite from my logos.
So my bezel arrived today in record time from the US, just 4 days ! And here are the final results !
