    Could be but Google does not seem to produce anything with a connection to 1892. Must be a pretty big place to order hundreds of G Shocks that cost over £250 when new.

    I thought that was a possibility but that hotel dates back to 1839 so the dates don't fit.

    Mitch - you found it!! You found MY WATCH!!!

    Wow, I never thought I'd see it again!! The Grand Duke of Luxembourg and I go way back. I've done many favors for him, and even dated his daughter. He named me honorary Prince of the sovereign house of G!!

    This watch was presented to me many years ago as a gift, and somehow I lost it. But I must have good fortune since you found it again.

    Feel free to PM me for my address, I hope to get it back soon!

    Mitch, whatever the origins of the watch (my preference is your original story), it looks stunning! I've seen that watch around and have been tempted, particularly because of the "Maharashi-like" colourway. Wear it in good health.

    [QUOTE=Joakim Agren;49098111]

    I know in 2016 The Royal Netherlands Airforce Apache personnel where issued a GPW-1000 RAF:

    Attachment 14212651

    Wonder how they felt being awarded a British RAF watch?

    Knowing Japan, it probably has some tie in with something from the Gundam universe.
