I just thought I'd show those who don't have a Raysman or those who haven't had the bezel off what a joy to behold this case is;
Best case outside of an all-titanium froggie or other screwback.
Here is my old AW-506 I posted the other day
As you can see that hour hand was way off...
Not anymore! I had the whole thing apart, including removing the tiny gears so I could alter the hands. Talk about a VERY delicate and fiddly process, I think this type of AW with crown is about as complicated as it gets with a Casio!
In this photo you can see the separate module which holds the EL backlight battery has been removed. I always loved the EL on this watch as it illuminates the entire watchface.
To alter the hands you must remove the tiny screw to the south of the battery on the main module, right in the middle. There's also a scew under the battery, and with these two tiny magentised screws removed the little plastic piece comes away and the gears become loose. This is when it gets fiddly, they are so tiny.
I hope I've re-seated them OK, won't know for sure until I get a new battery
I hope it works OK as I love this watch, it's only a cheap old leisure one but I just like the looks and I want to put a chunky tan leather strap on it
Hope to post more pics when I have a bettery and the cleanup and strap etc. is complete.
