NATOs on G-Shocks... that you don't usually see (Gulfman, GW-3500)

Yeah, you read right. Your eyes aren't deceiving you.

Both done with off-the-shelf parts and a little modification.

You can obviously mount a Zulu instead of a NATO -- or any nylon or leather strap of your choosing. The GW3500 Gravity Defier uses the PRW-1300 conversion kit from TikTox. The feet have to be cut off. The GW-9100 uses a standard G-shock (e.g. DW5600) adapter, but the sides have to be dremeled down. Neither is really attractive, per se -- the GW3500 has the divots in the lugs showing, and there is a small gap where the strap adapters don't fit perfectly.

But a NATO is infinitely more comfortable than a resin strap. :)

Active collection: MkII Hawkinge no-date; Garmin Instinct.
On hold for next generation: Rolex Submariner 114060; Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra-thin Small Seconds.

I used to love mechanical. Then I had to get one repaired. Now I love quartz.

GW-5000B not exactly nato but still nylon. Oh and not as modded, just an aftermarket adapter

That looks pretty darn good. How high does it sit on the Gulfman and 3500?

As flat as flush from your wrist to the NATO to the caseback -- the adapters themselves don't add any height at all over the thickness of the strap.

I usually cut off the extra keeper flap portion so they don't jiggle as much on the wrist.
