Need Guidance on My First G Purchase

I come to you all hoping to receive guidance regarding my first G-Shock purchase. I am looking at the DW6900MS-1 and the GD-100-1B. Can I have your thoughts on both? How about some pictures both on and off the wrist?

My wrist size is approximately 7". Would either watch look out of place on my wrist?

Feel free to post any thoughts about these two watches!

    Thanks for the help!

While I don't have a 6900MS-1 I have seen more than a few and it looks grat on the wrist. Personally I prefer the GD series over the 6900s because they are a tad bigger. A 6900 will look fine on a 7" wrist, but I think the GD100 would look better. I have a bout a 6.5"'s a not so great shot of my GD100

I have a DW6900MS-1, I also have a 7" wrist. I think the DW6900 is so popular because the overall size is just perfect for most wrist sizes. The only issue some people have is with the ridges at the top of the strap near the lugs but the MS-1 has a G-Lide style resin strap which has less ridges than the standard DW6900 and is a nice compromise.

I also have the GD100-1B, It looks considerably larger than the DW600 but has a less comfortable strap for a smaller wrist. I prefer the wearability of the DW6900MS-1 but I prefer the negative display of the GD100-1B and the backlight which is so bright you can use it as a torch (not really but you get the picture). The GD100 also has World Time, Auto EL and a mute function, it's a slightly better module.

Here's a comparison shot I took that had the DW6900 and the GD100-1B and some others.
