Never thought I would see these. AW-594 USA 94 spares.

This is the final thread on this package I received.from Japan.

Well here is the rest of the package.

These spares are for my AW-594.

As you can see there is a small split in the bezel. I do not think think that this resin rot as the bezel appears to been in good condition and the watch appears to be unworn. I suspect someone cracked it whilst changing the battery, as the bezels on AW-500s are pretty fragile compared to modern Gs.

It didn't bother me much as the watch is perfectly wearable as the screws hold the bezel tightly in place and there is little chance of the crack spreading. However, I have always kept a lookout for a spare. Never actually thought I would see a spare bezel and strap set because the watch itself is pretty rare but I lived in hope!

Well surprise, surprise a set popped up on Yahoo and I snaffled it.

So I can now revert the watch to new condition whenever I want. Just have to convince myself to wear it now, as I have this reluctance to wear unworn vintage models.

Stil it shows that you should never give up hope on something turning up. Perhaps Ronbo will get his 5500C bezel eventually.

Wow, that is awesome to have a spare set for such a rare model. It is always nice when rare parts get sold to someone who really could use them.

Very nice. You don't see those every day. That's a great score.

I am surprised the AW-500s aren't more popular.

I think they look great and were much bigger than other Gs at the time. They wear bigger than DW-6900s and have much more presence and weight on the wrist with its screwback.

I have two of them and both are special editions. The other is the AW-599 and was the last of the line.

Yes. However, they weren't essential as the watch is fine to wear as is. Indeed I will wear it in its present clothes and keep the spare set back so that I can transforn it to like new at some time in the future.
