    That is frighteningly good.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Apart from the G Sport lettering, but at a first glance...

Blimey. Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, I thought Casio should know what a huge compliment this person is paying them so I emailed them the link.

The Gulfmen the same seller has aren't quite up to the same standard though

That really puzzles me. I mean, they're already capable of completely cloning a G-Shock's design, yet they still leave out some small detail that betrays the item as counterfeit. It's either they're still being careless, or they're deliberately taunting Casio.

Sucks to be without a G.

I wonder if it's possible for casio to authorise some of the factories that originally sell fake Gs to produce replacement bands for vintage models? Since casio is not producing them anyway.

I don't want to buy fakes but I desperately need bezels and straps for my old G-SHOCK. Sometimes the replacements have been out of production for decades. The only source you can get these things is from other collectors, and the price is just horrible, three or four times more expansive than the release price. Last month I saw a couple of replacement bands for the blue jelly GW-202K ICERC frogman on Yahoo Japan auction. Each set was priced for $630 (or about 430 pounds) and I saw more than 50 bidders fought for these bands! Now this is a bit crazy. Casio is not making money from these stuff so why not assign somebody else do it? I'd be happy to pay the price of a fake G just to buy the authentic resin parts. I'd probably buy a dozen to spare.

Personally, I was really impressed with this gulfman fake found on the 'bay. It would be even easier to miss if they would have went for a normal colored bezel.

I also was amazed when I went to the local mall here in CT and found a bunch of the fake mudmans talked about on here before, as well as some yellow S-Sport Frogmen with some godawful looking modules in them.

I have to agree... G's aren't exactly the most expensive thing in the world, so why go through all of the work just to fake an inexpensive watch?

They're both inexpensive and popular. Counterfeiters hope to cash in on the G-Shock image and take a bite off their sales. Timex watches are also affordable, but I've yet to see a fake Ironman or Expedition in my area.

There's this popular mall chain that has a sizeable department store, and some of the watches at the children's section are obviously modeled after the Mudman and some Baby-Gs. I can't help but chuckle and shake my head every time I pass by there, especially when I'm wearing my own Mudman.

I saw a bunch of g-shock fakes at a flea market. They were all selling for $15. Clearly, if they are making a profit at $15, the economic incentive is there to pump these things out.

As an aside, they had a brown Frogman clone that was actually a pretty cool color. Has Casio ever done Brown??
