Hello all, first post here.
I bought my first Solar Watch yesterday (a black BGR3000J-1), love the size and look. So I went through the manual last night and thought I pretty much understood it. Unfortunately, this morning, I woke up to find the watch screen went blank. I did set the power saving function to “on” last night, so this was expected.
The manual (http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_man.../en/qw3107.pdf) says to get the watch out of sleep mode, you need to either expose the watch to bright light, or hit any button. Unfortunately neither of these two things helped in my case. When hitting the buttons (tried all of them: A, B, C, & D) I could hear the watch “beep” (on all buttons except button B, the illuminate button) but the screen still didn’t turn on. I also noticed that there wasn’t a “PS” flashing on the screen, which would indicate that the watch went into its “Deeper” sleep that it wasn’t supposed to go into until 6-7 days of no light.
The battery was showing “M” last night, so this morning after not being able to turn it on, I left it out in the light for about an hour, still nothing. Then I started mashing buttons again and after about a minute of me getting some serious buyer’s remorse, the screen finally appeared. Though, in all my button, I apparently managed to turn on alarm#1. FYI, the battery still shows “M”.
Anyway, my question to the Solar G folks here, is have you had this type of problem of waking up your watches? Anything you did to eliminate the problem? Hopefully there is something simple I’m missing. I need my watches to wake up in the mornings, if I have to wake up so should they!
