Are the new Bluetooth Multi Band 6 models making the GW5610 series obsolete?

Finally picked up the GW-M5610. I really like the legibility and the screen layout. I also have a few of the new Bluetooth models and just wondering if they’ll be making the GW series obsolete?

Probably, I had a negative display gw-m5610bc-1jf, I sold it and will probably replace it with a negative display BT model...

No, not really. BT is a nifty little feature...... but MB6 is the preference day in/ day out for those of use who have access to the tower signals................

If I had to choose; I prefer the Bluetooth. I live in the New York City area and find mutliband iffy at best. East coast is pretty far from the signal. Also, the buildings and overall interference of the city mess things up.
To be honest, I don't think either of them are all that important, since digi watches are pretty damn accurate. The cheapo 5600 has a great module that more than makes up for its lack of multiband and solar.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are not a lot of options if you're looking for a positive display with Bluetooth. I do have the full metal square SS with positive display. I need a positive display on a digi.

As for the 5610: That thing ain't going anywhere! Probably one of Casio's best sellers overall. Take a look at the secondhand market, they sell really quick!

I picked up this one and it’s very legible.

As owner of several M5610, I am a fan, but it has been obsolete for a longtime for another reason than BT.....as it has no current time showing in STW and Timer modes.

I love this new B5600 as it fixed the mode issue in addition to BT.

Of course it's legible it's a positive display, lol. I'm glad there are available positive display Bluetooth models, I haven't done much research on them.

That is a fantastic square, btw. I love the colors. I need to get one of those.
on the combi.. waiting on one as we speak; gonna pair it with a gw-5000. Not sure if it will work for me , but I heard great things.

Re: Are the new Bluetooth Multi Band 6 models making the GW5610 series obsolete?

Does the GW-M5610 still sync via MB6 and tell the time accurately? Yes. Therefore - it's not obsolete.

The BT models provide some added functionality, that's all. But that's true of many different Gs.

I hope not. I don't want a bluetooth anything, especially a watch. If MB6 goes away in favor of bluetooth I will be much less a fan of the Casio line.
