New to Forum with a question

Greetings to all. I am very impressed with this site and the amount of information that can be found here! I have owned two G-Shocks over the years and have been very impressed with them. I work in law enforcment and I'm very tough on watches. The first G-Shock I owned was in a fight with a bad guy. While fighting him my watch slammed into the concrete. The case got banged up and the lcd inside was knocked out of place. That watch never quit and worked like a champ, and I later passed it along to my nephew. That incident made me a believer in the G-Shock. I love these watches! The more time I spend here the more watches I want. I've just purchased a G9000-3V Mudman. I am trying to find out if you can replace the band with an aftermarket one like a ZULU band. There is an adapter sold on the countycomm website. It states that it fits 16mm G-Shocks. I called to ask if it would fit the new Mudman and they could not tell me. I believe the Mudman is a 20mm band at the case. Does anyone know if these adapter will work on the new Mudman? Thanks for taking the time to read my way too long post. Eric

Welcome to the forum Eric As for the MUDMAN, I dont believe a zulu type strap will work as the bands are no secured via spring bars but rather with a screw type fastening system.

    Correct Terry,

    https://forums.watchuseek.com/showthr...ht=mudman+band

shows the screws that hold the band rather than spring bars. There is another post on the forum about the band with pics from the underside of the band, but I can't find it.

i really have not looked into this at all. i was browsing this section of the forum and was curious what a zulu band was. a search took me to that website, and i noticed the adapter.

jumped the gun on that one. didn't even finish reading the post after i got curious about zulu bands. i saw the discussion of screws and i thought the one picture of the adaptor looked like it was using screws. eh well - carry on. good luck in your search.
