New G-300 2AV Real or not??

    G'Day Crew,

I purchased this G-Shock from a small retailer in a shopping centre here in Australia. I got it for my son. His first "real" watch. He is so excited. Hopefully I have sparked his interest in watches, including my small collection.

Is this real? The reason I ask is that the "blue" G-SHOCK does not appear to be the correct font/type from the pictures I have viewed online at casio etc.

What are your thoughts? Thank you in advance for your opinions.

    Regards,

    Rob

That's definitely real. The G-SHOCK print looks spot on to me.

    Thanks sl8763,

One of the reasons the offsider (oldtimer) commented on my watch and indicated that he worked for both Omega and Breitling. He made a comment to my son not to wear it in the shower????

I appreciate that even though a watch is WR, steam can easily get in a cause problems............

It just sent off an alarm bell, after I paid for it, thinking it might be a copy??

    Thanks again.

    Rob

    Dont worry!

The G-300 (own the same watch) is 200m water resist.
In Casios policy that means you can do anything but scuba diving with it.
There are lots of people (even at the military) using the watch for scuba diving though. And the watches survive!

For an average G shower is never a problem!!!

There is just one thing that can go wrong with the G:
If some stupid guy mess up the battery exchange and damaging/misplacing the seal.
Then of course water or steam can enter the watch.
The battery exchange should (as with every WR watch) be done by a thrusted person. Sometimes the easiest way to find a thrusted person is to do it yourself.

So this watch is a no brainer!

It is so real it could be.

Here are the manual. A proof big enough that the watch is a real Casio.
