    New to G shock...

Guys, I am not exactly new to G shocks as I used to own my last G shock maybe 13 years ago! LOL!!!:-D:-D:-D

Ok I need to ask you this I just won this G shock below(seller's pic), PRG-80YT-1VDR. Anyone owns it and how is the F&F? Cos it says it is 52mm excluding crown???

Also what is a good price for it?

    TIA.

    Hi Watchboy,

I cannot exactly see which version it is, but it looks like the black metal version. I have the resin version, great for outdoor sports etc. The sensors are spot on and mine only gains about 3 seconds in two months. I'm very satisfied with it. I believe you can buy them under €150,- if you look around on eBay. There are some very good Singapore based sellers that have them on auction or Buy it Now.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

    Oh Yeah I forgot....

It's very big, but in my opinion not too big and it wears very comfortable. It's also not a heavy watch, ideal for sporting.

    Cheers,

    Re: New to G shock...

Thanks Sjors, yes it is the Black(PVD?) Ti bracelet version. But the size worries me a little at 52mm. I know there is another more tame version PRG70YT but it is only 50m water resistant. I mean it is not that significant to me as I do not dive. But I prefer the BAD "S" dial of the one I bought. :-D

I'm sure you'll be impressed with the watch. As to the size... you can always use it for a chilli crab platter in an emergency! :-D :-D

I have one and love it. My wrist is about 6.2inches and fits me well. It's also very light. In my opinion, the 80 series is the best of all the ProTreks.

Got a PRG-80T, and love it. On my 7.5" wrist it fits just right; and it is very lightweight for its size. As Sjors mentioned above, it is very accurate with time keeping as well as the compass, baro/temp., altimeter.

Thanks Lee for your great suggestion! I will definitely keep that in mind!:-D

And thanks for those who shared their info with me. But I got a small wrist at 6 7/8" wrist. I like that look and wonder if I should exchange it for another watch.:-S

Hey Coldhit, since you have that G and the Ecozilla, how they compared in F&F? Cos I do have the Citizen 1000m auto which is the same size as the Ecozilla. The Citizen does fits my wrist quite well surprisingly. So it the G fits like the Ecozilla, then it might be OK for my wrist too!

Sorry, don't know what F&F means.

The ProTrek 80YT is only about 2mm wider than the EcoZilla, and weights much less (about 1/4). The bracelet on my EcoZilla is steel and not too flexible (it's stiff), while the bracelet on the 80YT is very flexible and loose. I basically have the same size wrist you have and both watches fit me well. I actually like to have the ProTrek loose on my wrist.
