    New to G-Shock

    Hi all,

I'm looking to get my first G-Shock and naturally I'm a bit unsure which one I should get. My top choice at the moment is the GW6900-1. What do you think, good first watch? I am open however to all suggestions. Thanks!

    Welcome. Glad you found us
The GW-6900-1 is the first G I bought since I was a kid, and I love it. It really screams "G-Shock" It's cheap, light, functional, and macho.
What ever you choose as your first G, just know that it will not be your last G.
My last G-Shock should arrive from Amazon after I'm six feet under.
Have fun and feel free to ask questions.
    Enjoy

Welcome to the forum. The GW6900 would be a good start, but they're all good really. Good luck with your decision.

sure that's a great first choice. some other thoughts: the gw9200 atomic riseman is a great example of a sensor g-shock, and the gwm5600 is a nice radio-sync'ing update of the classic square shape. ultimately i think you'll be happiest owning 2 or 3 gs.

Welcome to WUS. The GW-6900 would be a great one to start out with (classic look with new technology). Another good one could be the GW-7900.

    Good luck!

Without knowing anything about your tastes and specific function needs/wants, I would say that the classics models (DW5600E, DW6900, DW6600, etc. ) make great, reliable affordable entries into the g-shock world.
