New G-Shock kiosk at Tourneau Time Machine

Manhattan, 57th St. betw. 5th and 6th Aves., concourse level.

I was there today - they said it had just been installed within the week. There were 2 cases of G-Shocks and 1 case of Baby G's. Lots of Mudmen, Risemen, Gulfmen, Crazy Colors, military MS models, lots of 5000/5600's (what's the difference between them?), lots of ana-digis and all analogues. Lots more selection now than Paragon. No Frogmen - they said that Frogmen fly out of the store before they come to rest in the display case! Lots of white, lots of pink, but no dark green, or I would have bought one!!!

Pretty darn good selection of Pathfinders too in another case. And I couldn't help it, good price, I bought a PAW1500T-7V.

Does anyone know if there is a G-shock retail store in the Dallas/Fort Worth area?

Buying online is fine for price but sometimes you just want to try before you buy and the Walmart/Target/Sears thing just doesn't cut it because they have such limited supply.

Also as a public service announcement there is a thread in the image section of the G-shock store in Tokyo if you haven't seen it...

    So cool

    Where's the pics?

You're going to go back right and document this for us all right? Please.

I'm really curious to see how this new "concept" shop evolves. So far, there's no indication that it's worth the two hour trip for that alone. I'm going to stop by next time in NYC though.

Do they plan to add G Shock to all the Tourneau stores?

And where are the pics from your visit

Re: New G-Shock kiosk at Tourneau Time Machine

Back in the 90's, the two Bloomingdales in my area had outsanding GShock stores within them. The selection was outstanding. I bought a Raysman at the time. I was just astounded by the Solar Power capabilities. I remember seeing Gaussman in the case too.

I wish I could go back!

I must ask for your forgiveness for not knowing the 5000s from the 5600s (I've been into 6900s and Frogmen)- what I meant was rectangular case shaped G's with not too much color around the bezel, and all flat black. Some had positive displays, and some had the red-subdued as in the MS series (I have the 6900MS). But I think there might have been a reverse display with white numbers.

No photos! Next time, this week, if someone doesn't beat me to it!
