Wink New G-Shock Mook out in Japan featuring King of G-Shock and Jason

I was just reading FUMI's weblog and saw this new MOOK. I think it was not mentioned here before. Somehow I was thinking lately that if a new mook has to come out, it has to be now (or better a few months ago, when the GXW-56 was not released yet).

I'm not sure if it is an interesting Mook. I have quite a lot, but from the newer generation the 2006 version (G-Shock Official Book) was the best. I haven't bought the 2009 version as it was more of the same. I like the cover of this one though.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Thanks for that, I think..... what's a MOOK? I was hoping it was an electronic catalogue, but it's not, and Google hasn't helped me

If you want to search for a complete string in the G-Shock forum, or for posts which include multiple words, use Google, and enter site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17 into the search box. Then use normal google syntax after that to enter your search.

Maybe the expression is only Japan or South East Asia?

I got a lot of Gakken Mooks, like this one (see right from the word G-SHOCK):

Blimey. I'm locationally ignorant Makes sense now.

Edit - what makes it partially book? Looks like a magazine + catalogue. Therefore = Mat or Cag

No idea Maine, I was just guessing as well.

Maybe they're fleeting between the facts that it's too thick to be a magazine but too thin to be a book.. haha.

Oh carp. I'm confused now I've got very thick magazines and some tiny books. I'd better just go get some more wine; that seems the sensible route.

Unfortunately, thats no magazine book nor special publish of Gs. I was quite curious when I first saw Sjors's post and decided to investigate more.

It turns out to be a special feature of G-Shocks on udedokeiou vol.46 magazine. ??ý???

I got myself a copy at the local bookstore. A 16-page cover of Gs including the G-001 Jason, GXW-56, GD-100 and the current running models. Some snapshots:

    Hi Wave,

Only 16 pages? That's pretty thin, the last G-Shock featured magazines were at least 100 pages. Is it a cheap book? Is it easy to find? I just want one for the record, so I had sent already someone out to search it for me.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

yep. its just a booklet you find in a magazine called udedokeiou (vol.46) . its not an official G-Shock magazine at all. I had the link in my previous post, have a look. the udedokeiou is not expensive at all, 880yen in japan. of course i paid ~US$15 equivalent in my local currency.
