    new GW-M5600-1ER

Arrived this morning from tiktox.com. Comes in a nice tin. It's smaller than the GW-5600J-1JF and is about the same size as DW-5600E-1VER although the buttons are further apart.

Great next-day service from Keith at tiktox.com.

Here are some shots alongside a GW-300U-1VER and the other models I mentioned.

Yes I'm liking this a lot. It's much more like a DW-5600 than the bulkier US/Japan-only implementation of a Waveceptor 5600 the GW-5600J-1JF.

    Excellent comparison shots.

I amazed that there is a sized difference noticable in the 5600 variants.

Looking at all of the photographs, it appears that this model uses a standard strap with standard shaped lugs, unlike the GW-5600. Is that correct?

Yup, looks that way, although I don't have a 5600 with me for comparison. The band looks a bit blacker and glossier, but I may be mistaken about that.

Cool. Then it sounds like a possible candidate for strap adapters.

    That question had to come...

Now then, what about face protectors? Happily, I'm away for two weeks and will miss that discussion.
