    New GW-M5600BC + bracelet question

    My first G-Shock just arrived.

    Model GW-M5600-BC.

On my large wrist it doesn't look big.
Auto illumination is very cool and works flawlessly. I would just prefer slightly shorter reaction time.
    Resin strap is excellent.

Screen readability is generally ok, but in low light conditions it is slightly difficult, you must place the watch at right angle or use the illumination.
I have willingly sacrificed a bit of readability for the cooler watch look, so no complaints there.

Question - how do I remove the links from this strap? I need to remove 1 piece so that it fits perfectly. And not a single link is marked for removal like on normal metal bracelets? I would not like to break something while attempting this...
Should I just remove one random link using the metod mentioned here?

I bought it together in package with replacement rubber strap and spare bezel from Tiktox who had special offer for the whole package and they have large stock of replacement parts (hopefully I am allowed to mention them here?). I am pleased with their service, they replied to few of my e-mails even during the weekend.

P.S. There is no way to change MM/DD to DD/MM, correct?

On my GW-6900BC, I took the watch to a local watch dealer to have links removed. This is really a nice bracelet!

Yes, bracelent is excellent and comfortable.

I thought that I will have to change it with rubber strap immediately but it will stay on.

Watch is exactly what I wanted, durable, retro look, with a lot of modern features, what more is there to wish for?
Oh yes, only face protectors which are not being manufactured any more

The links are held together by tiny springbars passing thru the metal bits. Simply push into one of the holes with a springbar removal tool or a needle and you're done. One of the easiest to handle Casio bracelets that I've come across so far.

Many congratulations, and welcome to Gs

BTW, Tiktox is well-known here and is often a source of watches, parts and help. Don't worry about mentioning it here.

Re: New GW-M5600BC + bracelet question

I have the same bracelet on my GW-5000 and it is easy to adjust-

The links are held in place by small springbars-just use a tool or paperclip and look for the holes on the edge of the links- the pins will come out on the inside of the bracelet.

remove the links you need and fine tune with the link that attaches the top of the watch to the clasp- there are 5 holes to choose from.

    Very comfortable strap.

A watch shop can do it for you in a few minutes if you are not comfortable.

Bracelet reduction was done in a matter of minutes, really easy.

Only problem was springbar which jumped 5 metres away, you must be careful when extracting it
