    New here

Hey guys, I've been thinking of getting a g-shock.

I really like the frogman series but they seem to be around the $200+ range.

Are there any for around $100?

Otherwise I'll pick up one of these:

    Hi muzi,

I also new to WUS also. Great forum for Casio G-shock.

Sorry to inject your thread. is it very hard to buy watches from other WUS members as a new member in private sellers threads?

Welcome to the forum. You can't go wrong with either one of those choices. Though I'd suggest looking at a solar/atomic model. Might cost a bit more but worth it IMO...

Welcome I don't think you'll get a new Frogman for $100, but the models you're considering are both good.

So I've been looking around and apparently there are fake g-shocks?

What are reputable places to get one these days?

It may help to build up a track record with regular posts, but I have sold to people with a low post-count.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

If you steer clear of ebay you should steer clear of fakes. Ebay is still an excellent place to shop though, so just check here if you're not sure about a particular watch.

Either of these models is a good choice, but I'd also recommend going to a solar/atomic model as kiwidj suggested. If you're willing to go up to $150 or so, you should be able to get a great solar/atomic one.
