Confused New Mudman — caseback engraving error?

Just been chatting to a friend of mine in Hong Kong who says he's seen a number of G-9000-3VDR which he believes are incorrectly engraved on the caseback. Apparently, they say "Thailand movement, cased in Japan" when normally, models such as these are "Japan movement, cased in Thailand".

    Anyone else noticed this?

    Hi Seamaster -

    Take back my last words...

    Indeed this is correct.

    Just snapped these quick photos.

The cream and green state the same, whilst the solar GW-9000 simply states "Made In Thailand".

Please note this GW-9000 solar is the Japanese 20 BAR version, and the G-9000's I have both cream and green are OS versions that came from Taiwan. Possibly OS and JA versions state different. Maybe Jeff's are OS models.

The only difference I could find between the JP and OS model is the little text 20 BAR water resist on the JP wersion, in stead of 200m Waterresist. THe back engraving is totally the same. I a had indeed seen earlier the somewhat odd text about JP cased Thai movement. I don't think this is a mistake. Maybe the Thai factory is very good in producing these modules or was the JP factories producing too occupied. I haven't still not heard a word from my Jam'in color Mudman and G-5500. Maybe it has a litttle different caseback engravent.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

    That's cool Torrent

Your's says both 20 Bar and 200 M..and made in Thailand, whilst mine which is an OS model states cased in Japan, Thailand movement:-D

    This is really cool..

Maybe CASIO Japan are trying to slowly group all models to say one

I have a JP (20 Bar) G-9000 and it too reads Thailand Movement, Cased in Japan. Go figure.

My black G-9000, purchased in the UK, says 200M on the front, 20BAR on the back, and Thailand movement cased in Japan.

My green G-9000, purchased in Poland, says 200M on the front, 20BAR on the back, and Made in Thailand.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...
