    New name for forum watch

    Hi all,

As you know we are trying to create some sort of Forum watch under the project name WUSMAN. Now WUSMAN is a verry controversial name for a watch so here are some options you posted. Let's here your preferences.

    Looking hearing from you all

F17 sounds like a fighter jet. It's one bad a$$ name. Fitting for a G-Shock.

F17 does not sound anything like a G Shock or WUS. I dont get it and would not buy it.

What about 'GUSMAN'...(short for G-U-Seek). Or is that too close to Gaussman?

Re: New name for forum watch

I know it's easier to tear down than to build, but I really don't like any of them.(No offense intended to the OP)
I'm gonna add a few ideas that probably aren't any better....but here goes...
I agree that F17 makes no sense and ANYTHING that includes "WUS" sounds wussified, not G-shockish at all.
    How about:
Watch-man (with the WUS web addy on the back)
Shock-man (with the WUS web addy on the back)
Fan-man (with the WUS web addy on the back, are there any bigger fans?)
Tough-man (with the WUS web addy on the back)
Really I think you could put anything on the name with the web address for WUS and it would be fine.
This is going to be an item for members of this forum, but honestly I don't think you're going to pull in hundreds of new forumers with the release of a WUS watch, it's for forum members/regulars so have fun with the name....like:
    Sand-man (they're sand resistant, lol)
    Water-man (they're all h2o resistant)
    Snake-man
    Call it the Scorpio, call it a DW-F17, call it a DW-005 (I don't think that's taken), make it an atomic/solar GW-005
Throw them out there, I just know I wouldn't buy a wusman... It's arguably the toughest watch in the world.
    Cheers,
    Chris

How about just W.U.S. under the bezel and Watch U Seek on the strap.

Lightbulb Re: New name for forum watch

I voted for none, because I'm not too fond of either selection.

How about adding "Tough Choice" on the lower band, like "Tough Solar" on the Mudman/Gulfman/Riseman? That would reflect this discussion pretty well and add a tounge-in-cheek twist.

And on the upper band one could simply add "watchuseek FORUM", just the very design that we see above on this page next to the bold "G-SHOCK".

Re: New name for forum watch

    Voted for none.

As one of those who have expressed overriding concern over the name WUSMAN, I'm going to throw in the name G-WIS (alternate spelling: G-W.I.S.) into the list, pronounced as "Gee-whiz!". Sounds quite appropriate if I do say so myself, since it's fairly typical for a G-Shock to elicit surprise, awe and admiration, especially from fellow WIS all over.

I'll also be the first to point out that "whiz" is slang for urine, which is still appropriate for the brand: after all, only a G-Shock can make other watches pee in terror with its sheer presence.

Sucks to be without a G.

I like it or maybe just leave the front as a standard G and put the "W" in the middle of the crosshairs (the WUS Logo) stamped on the back, with the web addy.
I think the crosshaired W logo would look nice under the bezel or on the strap as well.
(If you don't know what I'm talking about click here https://www.watchuseek.com/ and then look in the upper left .)
Just my $.02 but I don't want it to look like some of the 18 different colored collaboration designs
    Cheers,
