Is this a New Old Stock "Hero" Dw-5200 G-Shock?

Hi Everyone, I have never posted anything here but I do come and read quite often and I have learned a lot. I started my Own Square G-Shock collection and so far its been a blast. A few days ago I bought a DW-5200 off the bay. I came across it doing a search for "old Casio" it wasn't Titled correctly something like Old Casio Scuba Diving Watch Estate sale. It only had 1 poor picture of the front of the watch with was quite blurry but had a buy it now for only $60 the Dw-5200 is one i didn't have and really wanted so I went ahead and bought it. It arrived today I was eager to open it and really inspect the condition and make sure it really was a DW-5200.To my absolute amazement it looks to be in completely New unworn condition with the protective plastic Still attached to the backplate, Battery still working, and all functions and light is good. has anyone ever came across one in condition like this? I took some pictures of it by itself and next to my Dw-5600c (691) with Brazil Bezel and Strap for Comparison.

    My Collection:
    DW-5200 (1)
    DW-5600c (2)
    DW-5600e (1)
    GWM-5610 (1)
    GW-5000 (2)

The back plate says module 240, so it seems to have the right module. Does it have 60 min stopwatch, 12 hour timer, micro-light (not LED or EL), and also able to set hourly signal to both 1/2 hour and 1 hour intervals?

Yes it Does have 60 min stopwatch, 12 hour timer, micro-light (not LED or EL), and is also able to set hourly signal to both 1/2 hour and 1 hour intervals. I ordered Watch box from Wolf (style # 4584029)

    Score!
    Nice example of a DW5200.
Bezel alone is worth more than that.

I would tend to think 'new old stock' would mean it would come in the box, manual etc unworn

It is all correct, and most likely all original (except the battery). Very nice find for $60, it is worth more than that. The good news is that it has a correct Casio brand bezel, the module is aligned, the crystal looks to be in great shape, and the caseback looks fantastic (very hard to find one with the sticker still on it, and not even yellowed with age which means it probably wasn't worn, or at least not very much). The bad news is that because the bezel is likely original (the one that came with the watch) it is very old and probably delicate. So be gentle with it, and don't try to put too much pressure on the bezel because they get stiff and brittle with age. But great find, you should hold onto it and treat it well!

The DW-5200 that watch that started me on the G-Shock collection. I think that it has the darkest, most high contrast display of all the older squares. I bought my for $90.00 back in 2006. Stock replacement bezels were still being made and could be ordered for like $3.50. I still have a brand new one on mine. It never gets worn anymore.

My first G got it back in 1986, I wish I still had it.
