    New ProTrek sparks new interest.

Since I got my new ProTrek PRW2500-1 which is the first Casio I have owned with moon and tide functions it has really gotten me interested in the phases of the moon. I have been out looking at the night sky at all times of the night. I rediscovered an App that I have on my iPhone, Sky View Lite which is very cool. With the App you can see the locations of the moon and planets and stars, satellites etc. even in the daytime or even when your indoors. I took these screenshots this morning while I was drinking coffee. Lol
Really cool App for anybody interested.

Thanks to your posts Wanderer, I've re-discovered that my PRW-2500R-1 is pretty cool! Funny that none of my more high-end Protreks show all of that information on the main screen. I also like the bit of color that Casio put onto the watch - from the green baro graph screen, to the purple tide graph, to the bits of orange on the dial and bezel... Nice touch Casio!

Here is a little chart that you might find helpful on moon phases. Pulled it from an older Casio manual.

Thank you @Time4Playnow. I will save that for future reference. I have really enjoyed the ProTrek since I got it. The alarm seems a little better than on some of my other Casios.

If you ever want an advanced astronomy app, take a look at SkySafari. It comes in three levels (base, Plus and Pro), and is available on both Android and iOS. Sometimes they have a half-off sale on paid levels of the app, but the base level seems to be free.
