I decided to make a new thread since I have 7 new pics to show off. I used my thumbnail to display the actual thickness of the watch. Its not thick at all. I just want to say how happy I am I went with the 1500. For me.. its not to big at all. People that think this is big should really see the suuntos. The 1500 is smaller and much thinner by comparison.
pros: the sapphire crystal, DLC, triple sensor, light ( and i mean light!)black titan band. the tide and moon graph was dead on out of the box. I was very impressed. its now 1:20 am and the watch just recalibrated with the atomic clock flawlessly from in my bedroom. The compass function great. sure the sunnto responds slightly faster, but not enought to justify buying a suunto over a casio by any means becuase of the compass. I love the baro chart logger. The gold accents and screws are a very nice touch. The bezel is nice and tight. BTW: Mine came with english directions! But the box does not look anything like the US PAW series come in. Its much smaller and plain.
Cons: The bezel does not have positive click adjustment, but its tight. I just hope it does not loosen. The only other con is the button size for the light and adjustment. These two are very small and are more difficult to depress. Oh yea.. no US standard units, just metric, but I need to learn those anyway.
Overall: Worth every penny to me. I am very happy I switched from suunto xlander mil. Thanks for the Watchuseek community for tis great reviews. i hope mine has helped other. Please email me or PM for any other pics or info.
The last pic is in total darkness: The camera make it look bluish, but in fact its not really that deep blue. Its much lighter.
Heres the pics:
