    New vintage arrival!!

    Good morning

I thought I'd share my newest arrival with you guys. I call it vintage, is 1995 vintage? Pretty rare I think, it looks like it was only released in two model variants, mine is the DW-6800-1. There was also a 6800G-1V looking at other threads here, the 6800G had a gold LCD & trim.

No sign of resin rot which I believe these can suffer from, but I'm not about to strip it to find out!! It does have a couple of small shallow scratches on the crystal but these only really show up at the right angle so I'm not too bothered about them.

I like the look of these, I hadn't personally heard of the 6800 before and I think the price was a steal as well at £25.

So here are a few photos,

    Cheers, Rick

This looks amazing for a 20 year old watch. Great find :)

It does look really good, nice find. These definitely suffer from resin rot, just like basically any Gshock from that era and older... But from what I can see, it looks brand new, no wear on it.

Make sure you wear it enough, not too much but just enough to get your moneys worth

    Nice score

I also like that back plate design a lot.
Same style used on my DW6900H-9
I like the script they used back then on the plate for Shock Resistant

That was a good deal you found congrats

Definitely! I had the straps of today so I could get the case off to check the gasket, which was fine. Def not brand new, but no dirt or marks under the spring bars or gasket just nice shiny plastic so I'd say hardly worn.
