Confused Newb Needs Help - Please can anyway advise is this is fake or genuine

    Hi,
I am looking for some help with a recent purchase, I have been looking for a G-Shock frogman for a while and cam across one on ebay which I agreed a fair price for a second hand watch, but now I have the watch I am worrying I have been sold a fake Frogman.

Looking at the quality now I can hold it and the display I am becoming concerned that its a fake and may need to go back ASAP to the seller and sort out a return sooner rather than later, so if you could kindly look at the images below and see what the experts think. I will then use this and any reasons as to why this could be a fake would be really helpful to me.

(If fake, I will refer the seller to this thread, they were selling on someone else's behalf and not sure they realised it could actually be a fake scam!)

    See what you think.....

Even the glass seems to stand proud of the bezel. Like I said, fairly NEWB could do with some good advise on this one.

    Thanks All.

It's a bad fake. I would suggest using google image search in the future to compare features on potential purchases. You'd see that your watch doesn't share many characteristics with the real Frogmen out there.

I sometimes report fake Casios on eBay. They either take several days to take down the auctions, or sometimes never at all. Some are just painfully obvious, yet they have bids on them. Don't feel bad - it happens.

It is amazing that someone would take the amount of time it took to produce what at first glance looks so real and then misspell so many words on face.

I'm no 'frog' expert, but the thing that jumps out to me is the word 'CASIO' embossed on the back - the letters aren't even properly aligned... Casio quality would never allow that, sorry bud. Hope you get your money back. PayPal should help if you run into problems.
Never argue with an idiot - they'll only bring you down to their level and win from experience...

    Unfortunately, it's a fake...
Here is a thread about fake Frogmans. It seems you've got yourself a "new" model of fake...
But I hope you'll manage to resolve it with seller

The "WATER 20 BAR RERIST" is a nice detail . As fake as it gets. So far I never saw a fake Frogman that looked anything like the real deal - especially funny are the "MTG" ana-digi Frogs as there never was an ana-digi Frogman. Strange though as they seem to get most of the details of the case right and the bezels sometimes even look like they might actually fit on a real Frogman - but the displays are all completely absurd.

    cheers, Sedi
