Question newbie saying hi and looking for some assistance...

    Hi Guys,

Been a lurker for a few weeks now and picked up some crucial info from you guys, but now i'm in the process of buying my first S Kool G, I have a couple questions I hope you can answer for me... since the search function didnt throw up any answers...

I've seen some G-shocks on the dreaded ebay! which is filled with a lot of fakes...I'm particularly interested in HUGE/Bulky bright coloured G's... models like the DW 6900 series... and the AW-582

My question, is this white AW-582 REAL? I'm not totally convinced, looking at the lettering on the dial compared to the Black & army green version.

The same font is used on the red ones too.

Plus does anyone know of UK seller of this model? which isn't charging over the odds. whats the rrp?

I've seen a nice neon pink mudman selling on ebay, but its more then i'm prepared to pay...i believe the 'buy it now' is £90... I want to stay within budget, which is £50-60.

    Many thanks

    Jay

    Hi Jay,

Thats a geniune watch from a genuine seller, not sure about where to buy from a Uk seller as I buy nearly all my 'G's from America or Asia as you won't get many good deals from UK. ( apart from used of course)

As for fakes, although there are loads of fake BAPES and a few fake Frogmen, most 'G's are genuine on ebay as most are fairly cheap in the first place and not really worth faking.

If you have any doubts just post on here like you have today!

    Thanks hoochy.

By the way, what do you think of that model...being that it comes with the leather instead of resin strap...which is a little lame, I'm thinking about durable issues.

I can't make up my mind as to which colour to get.... white or the yellow...or even blue. I wish it came in an orange.

also can you buy alternative straps?...e.g. a white resin strap.

Not really sure what to advise about colour as I don't have that style of G-Shock and no little about it to be honest! Although I'm sure a leather strap is as durable if not more so than a resin one.

I'm sure spare straps can be found at the usual online stores or from casio parts

Also for £50-60 you could get virtually any Mudman from abroad.

They also have a few AW-582 models for about $54 which is about £26!
