Newbie - what G shock (all black, small wrists)????

    Hi
I'm lost....there are so many g shocks to choose from, I can't decide. But I'm desperate for one. I bought an IWC Portugese 6 months ago which I adore, but I can't take it out on the mountain bike, trekking etc as I'm scared to break it. Hence why I'm looking for a g shock.

Thankfully, I just found this forum so i hope I can get some advice. I'm looking for a look more than specific functionality. Key issues are: All black or black on black. Secondly, my wrists are very small (about 17cm circumference), so the 51mm just look too big, so need something 48mm preferably. Dial and digital is cool, if not, just digital. back light/illumination also.

thats about it. If anyone can help, would be great...
    thanks aagain, jammidge

    G-7710:

Very lightweight, very soft and comfortable strap, one of the smaller models and a superior negative display.

jammidge, don't worry about the size.
I have 15cm wrists and wear G-Shocks up to 53mm width (and only because I haven't bought a bigger one yet).

5600 series. My wrists are 6.5" and anything else looks ridiculous on them. Make you look like a child wearing his dad's watch. I see posts of guys with small wrists wearing huge watches here and it looks silly IMHO. Every normal person (ie all the people who aren't watch enthusiasts) think the current trend of huge watches is shockingly goofy. If you want one you won't be embarrassed to wear when the huge-watch trend fades, get a 5600.
