    Night Ops (pics)

    Night Mission NOR1540:001 21:00PDT
    visibility: unlimited
    trail conditions: dry
    temperature: 60F
    partly cloudy
    humidity: 86%
    wind: NW 6MPH
WATCH: custom (Real Black wannabe) DW6900

    NOTES:
first of a series (hopefully) of night missions.

Tonight conditions were ripe for a Night Operations Ride in the woods. A secret singletrack location provided a great way to end the day. A short climb to the top of a dirt hill, singletrack begins immediately at the peak. A short time to adjust to the darkness in the trees and Im pretty much full steam weaving the tight singletrack. The same trail at night yields much more to be alert about. Where you can avoid a root or rock in the daytime, the same obstacle at night can throw you right into the poison oak!
A couple quick downhills, a berm or two and even a natural slalom course. Look as far as you can ahead for the trail AND people. you dont want to hit head on, or get CAUGHT! Always dicey coming out as there is no way to emerge without being seen if there were to be rangers or cops.
This is a super awesome trail. Too bad I cannot ride it all the time. I used the opportunity to stealth myself out with my all black riding gear and REAL BLACK wannabe DW6900 that I customized a while back.

Thats why I used it. Low light conditions for ninja maneuvers.

Ive been watching for Bigfoot since you warned me last time!
