    no Beep (sound)

    Hi,
I have a G-shock QW1659 (blue) the last six years or so, i changed the battery about 5 or 6 months ago and all is fine i think. the one problem i have is with both alarm and count down there is no sound ( is it supposed to be a Beep). i can get the light to flash but that wont wake me up!. i have looked at the instructions but cant seem to see anything specifically about the beep, anybody got any ideas, much appreciated, Neal

    Hi,

When you changed the battery did you see a very little spring standing up from the open module?; sound like it is not making contact with back plate, or is gone all together(needs to make contact for sound/beeps)....BTW welcome to the forum

There's a pictorial guide HERE detailing where the spring should be located which may help.

Also, did you reset the watch by shorting out the AC contacts when you changed the battery?
    It's probably the spring, though.
