Well, it's over. I can't see a reason to wear a G-Shock any more. Now that I have a mobile phone why do I need to wear a watch? I mean, I'll never be 200+ M under water. If I fall from a height of 10 M it is not my watch I will be worried about. Mud washes off.
What can my phone do that my watch can't? Lots. Well, first of all, it's a phone. We haven't quite yet attained the Dick Tracy wrist phone.
It plays music. Oh sure, you can listen to a snippet of U2 on a GM-100. But a whole album? I think not.
It can tell me where I am. Map, aerial photo, directions. At best, a Wademan can tell me what direction I'm facing.
I can catch up with you all. Email, youtube, web browser. I can't watch a video review of the GW-400 on a GW-400. I can set an alarm on the phone to vibrate, just like the GW-400.
What else? Oh yes. It can tell the time.
And the date.
See you tomorrow.
