No willpower + SALE! = trouble

I had intended to avoid watch stores, and even WUS for awhile...at least thru Christmas.

Best laid plans and all that.....

A new baby G BG-B2F for $45...who could resist that? And lo-and-behold...Timex WS4's on sale too! I could barely open my purse fast enough.

The BG-B2F is interesting: not only does it have world time, but temperatures in those selected cities as well. How does it know that?

Thanks. In Canada, The WS4 is regularly 299.99 (no one knows why...), and I got it for 195 + tax. Pretty good deal for up here! I probably could have bought it for the same or less online, but then I wouldn't be having palpitations playing with it tonight. Instant gratification is wonderful. And expensive.

I already like many of its features better than my Suunto Vector, chiefly the bigger screen, better backlight, and 2nd timezone. Time will tell if the ABC functions are up to the Vector's.

Very nice. I'm not sure how the WS4 can predict temperatures in cities around the world either, but it sure is cool!

    Enjoy, brotha!

Actually, it's the Baby G that has world time and temp. I wonder how it does that.

    Hi Popoki Nui,

Congratulations with you new watches. Both are interesting. There were more Casio models that "predict" temperature. I think there even eas a G-Shock with this function, but I am not sure (Wademan?).

This function simply has a database with the average temperatures of the date of these cities. So it doesn't actually predict.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

I like the look of the WS4. Can you share with us your impression of the Timex?

    Thanks!

I think Q6 has some thoughts on the ABC forum. He likes it and is waiting to see if its as durable as his PGR80.
