I've noticed Suuntos have that coloured line effect in pics...

    ...what causes that?

Btw...very stealthy looking watch. Actually doesn't look as big as I thought they were. Easy to read display?

I think it happens with all LCD displays. It's just more noticeable on Suuntos because there's more to see.

As for what causes it, no doubt it's to do with wavelengths, the way the shutter on the camera opens and closes, and possibly the refresh rate of the LCD.

Very nice! I miss my Suunto's, i've owned the advizor and oberserver TT. Really regret selling the observer, it was such a nice watch.

If it's like the other Core models, prob 50mm.

Congrats! Suuntos are great sports watches! Lot's of cool strap kits and neat accessories available for them. Your new one is a nice stealthy looker but I still prefer the look of the classic Vectors.

Awesome pick up + pics Geode!
The core is my favorite Suunto hands down.

I was gonna get the light black core with the black + silver lugs band and white display:

But now I have my sights set on this one, the military black core. Basically the same watch as yours just with an all black+lugs band:
