    Noobie Dye questions

    Can this bezel be dyed?

If so, what colors should I go for?

    Re: Noobie Dye questions

No, I don't think it would be practical to dye this one. It's got a glossy and sparkly coating on the outside of it that I think will make dyeing not very easy.

It looks like the bezel from a Triple Crown G-9100TC-2 Gulfman:

I'd recommend using it as a spare for one, or selling it to someone that needs it. That outer layer can probably wear off over time, so it would be nice to have a replacement if that happens.

The best resin parts for dyeing are usually very light-colored matte-finished ones. You want parts that will readily soak up the dye and are not too dark already (you can only dye darker really).

Thanks. I have a g9100 coming in. It's black, but I want to add some color to my collection. Just wanted to see what my options are.

If you dye such a bezel say black, the color will get a hue darker and, depending on the size of the sparkling particles , change it´s color a bit. It might get darker blue or a dirty looking blue.
