    NOS G-shocks from local AD

I just noticed my local AD has started carrying a bunch of NOS vintage models - a DWX-110, MRG-110, MRG-121, and the like. I'm curious whether this is happening in other places as well? Prices are a little high, I'm sure, but knowing that the watch is essentially brand new (and has had a battery/gasket change), maybe it might be worth it getting a couple?

I'd buy a NOS MRG-121 in a heartbeat. I doubt this is an official clearing out, I bet someone finally cleaned behind the fridge.

I was being serious, what's your local AD? What kind of prices are you seeing? I'd say 150 for a nos 120/121 is fair, especially if they're titanium.

Authorised Dealer (Distributor) I would imagine. It's easy to spell this stuff out but the use of wilfully nebulous acronyms and abbreviations have been part of the internet since before the WWW. It is a form of sport for many (some being the same ones who teased the fat kid in grade school and others being said fat kid out for an online derived sense of intellectual revenge of sorts).

A man wearing a watch, outside of purely social functions (where, strictly speaking, a watch is not supposed to be worn), makes it clear to everyone in his purview that they are in the presence of a man who considers his time something of value, not something to be wasted.

A man wearing an ostentatiously expensive watch makes it clear to everyone in his purview that they are in the presence of a man who considers little.

    Authorized dealer.

Prices are quite a bit higher than that, so maybe it's not a great deal, then.

Doh! I'm an idiot. I was stuck on thinking what retail store starts with A. I've never bought new from an AD so that doesn't help. As far as prices go I agree with steelerswit, maybe tell them the 120/121's are 15+ year old watches, you'd be doing them a favor in helping clear out inventory. If course they may come back and say 'you can't find these beauties anymore in nos condition, we can't give them away'. I guess it depends which models specifically they are too, some are more rare than others, also if you like having the box and papers, etc. Older mrg's are available on Japanese auction sites, and eBay to a lesser extent but mostly used condition. Another important factor is the bracelet. Nos probably means it has enough links to fit your wrist, so many used ones have been shortened and finding spare links is extremely difficult, almost impossible.
