Off topic off topic: pee wee herman watch

well.... while goofing around with the familiy over dinner the topic of watches came up (as it always does) and my wife said she had a pee wee herman watch.... yeah right...

it turns out she does have a pee wee herman watch. she thinks she bought it in the early 80's but is not sure exactly where or when.... old age you know... it creeps up on you when you least expect it. my wife has quite a sense of humor and i must admit that is one of the many reasons she puts up with me.

my daughter wants it (though she has'nt a clue who pee wee is) and is the model for us today.

the question is: does anyone know how to change the battery is this thing? i would really like to get it running again.

Some of those kinds of things weren't designed to have their batteries replaced.

Looks like you'll need to carefully pry up the watch part up out of the base to access the battery. I suggest a very fine blade, like an X-Acto or two the gently spread the base apart from around the watch part?

Maybe it's kinetic and you need to move your wrist up and down repeatedly...

I haven't posted here in forever (although it's in my RSS feeds and I check everything all the time), but had to come back for this one.

That's the funniest comment I've read here in a loooooong time.

And explains exactly why I couldn't imagine wearing a Pee Wee watch.
