    Is this official Casio release?

Just came across this piece. I know members of this forum have done this mod. But this piece seemingly is an official Casio release or did I misunderstand something on the advert?

Don't know if this is an official release or not but something is a little fishy. A watch that's filled with silicon oil should have a much higher depth rating than 200 meters otherwise, what's the point? I believe I'd do some more checking into this one before I risked any money on it.

The seller is simply a reseller of USED watches...says Vintage etc etc in his about section of the listing.
Sure the liquid addition may well mean a higher depth rating but it only says TESTED to 200m.
It is simply a modded watch being sold by someone for whom english is not their first language, give them some slack.

Not much feedback to go on but they like buying ABC watches and recently have stumbled on NOS bezels to sell. Personally I don't think there is anything to worry about...but the watch is definately a 'modded' version, not factory made.

It is a DW-6900H model in dark blue or purple (I can't see good in the pictures. The watch has been modded with a negative display and a Hydro treatment. Somewhere I must have this model (original version) somwhere in the house...

I'd say it definitely a custom job.

    Comes with an interesting box.

If Sjors can confirmed it, then theres no suspicion. so, is that a magnifier on the third eye?

No, all Hydro-G's are suppose to have a single air bubble inside them. What you're seeing is the bubble. It's suppose to help with the internal pressure within the watch I think.
