    Off topic Okay, OKAY - a bit off topic but...

    Since I know that we are all like minded here - am I the only one that listens to audiobooks or read books - whatever your flavor.

    If yes, what are currently reading or what did you just finish?

    I re-read Steve Jobs Biography as well as few Brad Thor books.

    What do you like to read?

    I was a literature major in college with a minor in poetry (i know, sappy). I read all kinds of stuff. Last night was the The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The night before was Good Night, Moon. They are my kids' favorites. On a more adult theme, it's whatever my high school students are reading. Brave New World, Don Quixote, Red badge of Courage, Hamlet, etc. Actually read Hunger Games. I was into the killing thing. It was OK.

    The last audio book that I listened too was "The Killer Angels" a book about the Battle of Gettysburg, the book was later made into the film "Gods and generals" I also listened to a book called Agincourt by Juliet Barker, about the Battle of Agincourt in 1415. The famous Pickets charge at Gettysburg could be likened to the French charge at Agincourt, vastly different weaponry used but the same effect, The outcomes also could be likened, although the Confederate forces didn't lose the war with that battle, it was the beginning of the end, the French basically lost the war after Agincourt.

    I recommend both books, although factual history, both are told as stories rather than lessons at a school.

    Others I would recommend;

    Donnie Brasco...Joseph D Pistone
    Killing Pablo... Mark Bowden
    The Good Guys...Joe Pistone and Bill Bonanno.
    Azincourt...Bernard Cornwall
    Night...Elie Wiesel.

    I used to read whatever non-fiction or autobiography I could get my hands on (interesting, talented people only...so definitely no David Beckham or Katie Price garbage) now I have started a quest to read all the Stephen King books again (I have an almost complete collection, not the Dark Tower books, I'm not a masochist!) I am currently in the middle of Night Shift and next is my second favourite book of his The Stand.

    I need to read/listen Brasco - after all it is one of my favorite movies :)

    I also want to read/listen to the Interview with the vampire books

    and for the sake of this thread - read=read=listen=read=listen - whatever or however it is that you ingest that material :)
