    I don't know about the 6600 but I've used the EL on my 6900 as a flashlight in certain situations. It literally lights up the whole area around me when I use it.

    Cool.

    Unfortunately, with an EL like that there's no way the battery can last 2 years.

    6900! i cant really get warm with the 6600 display.

    when i see the 69 i want to wear it immediately. great stuff.

    Truthfully, it's on its third year and still running strong. Maybe I'm just lucky.

    Yes it does. I have another 6600 that is only a couple years old and it doesn't have the red G but the backlight is brighter and a little more of a blue than the old one.
