Ooops. Welp, so much for a Kelly Green dye job...its aight though

Actually went with Kelly Green Rit to dye a used DW6900 FS band and bezel...and as you can see there is no semblance of green on it lol. I actually was pleasantly surprised with the results, I think the black and red play off the blue nicely. I used an 6900MS module, painted the G red, I really liked the black buttons and faceplate, but Im thinking positive screen for it...even the FS screen would work here I think because of the blue and red eyes...any ideas?

I love that shade if blue. Even though it wasn't what you were going for, I think it works. Great combo with the all black face.

That looks awesome! As for the display -- I'm not a fan of the negative displays from a readability standpoint but I think they look better than positive displays. If you can read it as-is, I say keep it.

Definitely one of the reason I love G's. Take a look, you'd be amazed the great tutorials members have put in here: Articles & Tutorials. Youtube is a source as well.

Although I'm not a huge fan of Bloo, I think the result is quite good. It could have been part of the Vintage Colors of 2009.

    Cheers,

Love the color and the button/buckle. I would vote to keep it negative to tie in those accents but a display more like this?

it's nice - and I am a sucker for negative face - how the heck kelly green gives you blue though? did you use the powder or the liquid ?

and, there goes my hope of doing a digital camo for you now that your result came out great / LOLz

LOL how about digital blue??? Um I used Rit powder, I used probably a little less than half the pack of dye in a small amount of hot water. Strange the water was a deep green....Do you think it maybe was because the 6900FS resin is more like a chalk color rather than pure white??
