    Opinions on GW-810BD

This watch doesn't sell well with us, so I was wondering what the general consensus is with them?

Distinctly unattractive, like its positive brother.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Many, many other Gs are in front of that one on my list.

Now, how about that store discount in exchange for our free market research?

Can't say I care enough about it to have an opinion either way.

How did it get so late so soon?

I am one of the few that really enjoy GW810D series.

The watch is quite low profile, and stay comfortable on the wrist. the lugs that rotates close the watch also makes it a great fit for smaller wrist size.

One thing about the 810BD is that the reverse LCD is not the easiest ones to look at with the gold-ish numbers. my 810D has sliver-ish number which is actually one of the easiest reverse LCD to read.

    I have this exactly model.

    My impressions:

    1 Great module.
    2. Hard to read display.
    3. Cool looks, altough it doesn't really feel like a G to me.

    Cheers,

    G.

    +1

I like the GW810 series for the same reasons.

Well I have this watch and it has good and bad points.

The four 'eyes' are a ludicrous design element in my opinion. All that display space just to tell me that my watch has synced to the UK signal rather than a Japanese one or the USA one! Seeing as it is impossible to sync to these signals it is design with no function which is not a good idea in a utilitarian watch. That display space could have been put to much better use as the display area is bigger than the 5600 for instance.

The resin does not protect all the bezel leaving it open to scratch

The module has the exact same functionality as the M5600, so far so average.

The buttons are better though, fairly chunky, with a good crisp action and with a fifth light button which is always good.

Also this watch is made with better materials than the M5600. The resin is much harder with a sparkly sort of sheen to it. Also the bezel is IP plated SS. I am not sure if the rest of the watch body is SS as I have not taken it apart, however it is considerably heavier than a M5600 on a bracelet. It definitly feels like a more quality product when you have them both in hand. The watch is quite stealthy and was known as the 'Black Force' in Japan.

The display, with its rather nice 'gold' effect, is actually clearer with better contrast than a M5600BC for instance. I did an experiment where I placed both watches and then moved away until I could not make out the digits. The 810B could clearly be seen at a greater distance than the M5600BC.

The bracelet is fine, being IP plated SS, but on balance I prefer the composite one.

So good things and bad things but on balance, a decent effort. Having said that I rarely wear the watch as there are definately a lot better 'G's out there.

Thanks for the feedback! I ordered it originally to try it out; metal bracelet, weighty, black plated and atomic solar. Price point is a bit high I think; puts people off, plus a bit difficult to read as others have mentioned.
