Original DW-5000C: closest current model? Exact re-issue?

What is the closest one can get to a the original DW-5000C when buying new today?
A man wearing a watch, outside of purely social functions (where, strictly speaking, a watch is not supposed to be worn), makes it clear to everyone in his purview that they are in the presence of a man who considers his time something of value, not something to be wasted.

A man wearing an ostentatiously expensive watch makes it clear to everyone in his purview that they are in the presence of a man who considers little.

The only new/current screwback models are the GW5000 or GW5035, but those are solar/atomic. Function-wise I suppose a DW5600E or something like that, but that's not a screwback.

The question was "the closest one can get when buying new". I suppose it's possible, although extremely unlikely too find a nos anniversary or reissue but good luck with that. I'm not a new buyer myself, there are a lot of anniversaries still in excellent condition that are wonderful, the 5000-1jf as mentioned, the 5000sp 20th, the dw1983 10th if you are rolling in $, and 5030-1jr all look similar.

IMHO, the brick pattern is the distinguishing factor that makes the DW-5000C adorable. Without them, there is NO near copy of the original.

Without considering the brick pattern, the closest model that that you can buy new is GW-M5610 but it's not a screwback. GW-5035A has also the same design pattern in screwback casing.

Here are the models with brick pattern that are nearly identical to the original.

DW-5000-1JF (2001 Reissue) is the closest copy that you can have. From the screen design to the screw back. But this model is hard to spot in new condition.

DW-5030 is also somewhat similar but they are hard to find in new condition, and this model was released in a set (G-SET-30). You can still make one of this from parts since you can still get the case center and back cover from pacparts. The clarity of the LCD of this model is somewhat similar to the original DW-5000C.

DW-5000SP is also a good candidate but it's hard to get new.

DW-1983 is the closest copy if we don't consider the back cover design. Almost the same crystal/glass pattern as well as the floating module design. This is harder to get than the DW-5000C.

SL is close too yep. "When buying new" though, really no good matches with current models.
