OT- How Much Is Time Wrong Around the World?

As the USA approaches DST this Sunday morning, check out this map and article about time:

OT- How Much Is Time Wrong Around the World?

I always have been wondering why The Netherlands and a lot of West European countries have GMT +1 as standard time. This means in summer (GMT+2) Solar Noon is around 14:00 here, 3 degrees east of Greenwich.

I think this is for a better spreading of light during the day, specially in winter. As in December/January twilight starts after 16:30, it would after 15:00 if we used GMT. So, I'm pretty happy with our timezone at our location. Actually, I like our Summer Time (DST) even more, as the sun sets after 22:00 in June.
