    Other items that have the G-shock mentality

    What other equipment do you own and rate that has a similar vibe/theme to G-Shock watches and would reccommend to others.

    Perhaps its something you use for work, or perhaps for other outdoor activities. Im thinking survival/essential type equipment.

    Items with the same ethos of toughness, ruggedness, durability, affordability etc. I often see watches photographed with knives, maglite torches for exp.

    Im listing this;

    Leatherman Wave

    Also these,

    Magnum Spider boots.

    Im after a new pair of day to day, rough use sunglasses if anyone has any reccomendations...?

    my knife

    My sewing machine

    Both I've owned for more than 30 years, and often rode hard and put away wet.

    i tried the wave and it was not for me. i traded it to a guy in hawai of all places for a skeletool... still... i prefer the victorinox spirit. it's a work of art and every tool can be accessed w/o opening the tool. sadly i lost mine over the winter on a jobsite so i don't have any pics.

    i'll try to get some pics tomorrow of the prescription sunglasses i've worn for the past three years. they are heavey built raybans that have been worn on constructions sites daily.

    Remember rule 7, folks.

    I've removed one picture in the thread and have exercised discretion with one or two others.

    I knew this would happen...
    I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

    Tribe, I must say you have used the most level-headed approach to rule #7 I have seen here so far (obviously my own opinion). Kudos!
