Overwhelmed with choice, need advice from G Shock experts

    Hi Guys,

I am not new to WUS but I am usually found at the Omega forum.

I need a G Shock but I am completely overwhelmed by choice, made more complex by the general difficulty that have had finding information such as case size.

I thought someone here may have all the info at their fingertips....

If anyone can help, here are my criteria -

    1. Standard shaped case (ie not square) with a size no bigger than 44mm
    2. Digital/analogue dial
    3. Price less than US 350

    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Rob

You might want to specify if you want a model currently in production or if you are willing to look for an older model. 44mm might be a difficult size since most are larger (G-100 might be close, but it's only a $60 base model).

You might want to look into some of the older GIEZ analogue-digitals.

    1) Start with the thread in HoosierTrooper's link.

    2) Forget about case size for now and try to figure out answers to the other questions like "features." Do you want solar power, radio synchronization to the world's atomic clocks, or any special features besides the "usual" stopwatch/alarms/countdown timer found on most G's?

    3) Realize that Casio doesn't measure their watches like most other watch companies, and takes THE largest measurement possible in any direction. While most watch companies measure things like "case diameter," Casio measures height, width, and thickness and includes every part that's not the strap or bracelet in those measurements.

as others have said, put away the tape measure and choose with your eyes and your heart ;) choosing a G by measurements would be like a vegan trying to choose a meal at a steakhouse, youre just going to be left hungry and wishing you "had what they're having" haha

Thanks for the suggestions so far folks - this is the one I am looking for. I have seen this in person -it fits my wrist perfectly. I think this is out of production now - any suggestions on where to buy new old stock? Also, any other similar currently produced models would be good.

Features are not that important to me. I do need stopwatch, alarm and count down timer but that's about it. Anything else is a bonus.
